Seashells, Sun and Silk

This evening bag is in the window of one of the onboard shops. All the seashell embellishments are made with beads. The picture does not do it justice.

Today at lunch time we crossed the Prime Meridian, so as the Captain (who is Norvegian) said, “We crossed from the vest to the east.” We had rough mounting seas with swells of 15 ft. Impossible to walk a straight line.

I went out onto the Promenade Deck 7 to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and to look around. The water was almost hypnotic.

Following the afternoon lecture, I had a little time off and treated myself to a nap on my verandah. No noise except the ship moving through the water, a cool breeze, and sunshine just beyond the roofline. It was heaven.

For the last formal night during my cruise, I went with Brian and Judy to Silk Road, the Asian fusion restaurant. The setting was exquisite, perhaps the most elegant on the ship if you can imagine that! The food was fabulous – I had the trio of wagyu beef, cod & lobster, both shrimp and spring roll appetizers, and 2 desserts. Small elegant portions and just a few bites of each dessert.
