Curious water

It’s 3:20 in the afternoon. I’m sitting at my desk next to the sliding door. It’s open. Fluffy white clouds, a delightfully pleasant breeze and dark green water are just beyond the railing of my verandah.

I stepped out a few minutes ago to watch the world pass by, and saw a curious sight. From a distance it looked like someone took a giant brown marker and drew a line on the water. And can it be that the water on the other side of the line is a different color? As we passed it, I wondered if it is some kind of algae bloom. If I get a chance, I’ll ask somebody.

The water has been amazingly calm these last two days, hardly a ripple or whitecap. Even the Captain has commented on our good weather and says there’s nothing but more good weather ahead.
