I'm not in Texas any more

Here are the realtime conditions at 11:15p:

Latitude 15° 2.20° N
Longitude 62° 29.47° W
Heading 121.3°
Wind direction 75.3°
Wind speed 29.4 knots
Ship speed 13.2 knots
Sea state small waves
Wave height 4.9 ft
Air temp 82.4°
Sea temp 82°
Neptune pool temp 84.9°
Seahorse pool temp 84°
Miles traveled from Miami 1241.4 nautical miles

I'm providing this info specially for my brother, former Navy pilot and now international airline captain, and for my Dad, a retired aerospace engineer who no doubt has just now plotted our position on a map somewhere.

For the rest of you, I know, I know, who cares. What this means to me: I'm not in Texas any more. Wave height? Sea temperature? Nautical miles? Really?

I just remembered Crystal Cruises provides realtime video feeds from their ships. Go to the Crystal Serenity page and at the bottom of the page, click on "Live Views". I just did this, and every view is black because, yes, I can confirm it's dark out there. If you decide to try this on Friday, January 15 during daylight hours, you should see a view of St. Lucia.

On the same webpage you can tour the ship. Look for me on decks 10, 6 or 12. My room's on 10 and there's food on 6 and 12. Bon appétit!
